Why are Alternative
Therapies dismissed?
|
Every drug has to be passed by the FDA (Food
and Drug Administration). To have a drug tested
before being approved for common use, years
of research are involved, requiring huge reports
and costs incurring hundreds of millions of
dollars. The only companies that can afford
this are large pharmaceutical companies. However,
their insentive to invest relies on the chance
of making huge profits from their initial investment
for testing. Eventually they must obtain a “patent”
on that particular drug. However, substances
found in nature can NOT be patented. The only
substances that can be patented are man-made
chemicals and processes.
Since Vitamin C, laetrile and many other alternative,
and non-toxic cancer treatments are derived
from nature, they can not be patented. This
explains why they are not approved by the FDA,
simply because they can't approve a natural
substance. Unfortunately, no matter how effective
these natural substances prove to be, they will
never become officially approved. This is the
reason you hear that natural alternative medicine
is “unproven”. Sadly, unless the
law is ever changed, the only “approved”
substances we will ever have for the treatment
of cancer are man-made, patented chemicals and
drugs!
But think about it…if eventually laetrile
and other natural anti-cancer treatments were
passed, and confirmed to be effective, this
would end the need for any drug related cancer
treatments. a) the FDA would no longer profit
from testing these drugs, and b) the pharmaceutical
companies would no longer profit from their
investment into a particular drug. Also the
public would become more aware of natural anti-cancer
substances and their effectiveness in prevention,
therefore wiping out cancer from occuring in
the first place. Where would the cancer industry
be then? Most of the pharmaceutical companies
will lose billions of dollars in profit, from
no longer needed chemotherapy drugs. Interestingly,
there are a LOT of people “at the top”
who have shares in these pharmaceutical companies,
and these are the people we trust and listen
to.
